If thereโ€™s one thing Malaysians are truly proud of, itโ€™s our food. After decades of hawker fare dominating the scene, Kuala Lumpurโ€™s gastronomic landscape is undergoing a transformation โ€“ from beloved traditional dishes to modern, innovative creations presented like works of art. With the Michelin Guide now recognising the cityโ€™s top tables, fine dining restaurants in KL are more determined than ever to take its place among Asiaโ€™s gourmet capitals. From elegant chefโ€™s tables to refined takes on local comfort food, these seven Michelin-recognised restaurants are redefining what it means to eat well (luxuriously!) in Malaysiaโ€™s capital.

Chef Raymond Tham reinterprets iconic local dishes โ€“ like blood-cockle โ€œChildhood Weekendโ€ and Musang King durian โ€“ with artful plating, cocktail pairings and regional ingredients. The result: bold, unapologetically Malaysian flavours.

Located in TTDI, DC blends French fine-dining standards with local inspiration. The seasonal tasting menus showcase premium ingredients โ€“ think aged duck, sea urchin and truffles โ€“ combined with impeccable technique and one of KLโ€™s most extensive wine cellars.
